En el Prudential Center de Neward, New Yersey, Estados Unidos, se realizó la ceremonia de los premios MTV Vídeo Music.
Este evento musical es uno de los más importante del país del norte, en donde se dan cita los artistas de mayor relevancia del momento.
En esta gala, con mucho sabor latino, se destacó el artista colombiano J Balvin, quien cantó a dúo con el puertorriqueño Bad Bunny la canción “¿Qué Pretendes?” y su performance fue uno de los más aplaudidos por su particular vestimenta y puesta en escena.
También el artista antioqueño obtuvo un MTV en la categoría Mejor Coreografía junto a sus colegas Rosalía y El Guincho en la canción “Con Altura” y la coreografía hecha con Charm La’Donna. Este premio fue unos de los más aplaudidos de la noche.
Participaron artistas de la altura de Taylor Swift, Rosalía y Ozuna, Shawn Mendes y Camila Cabello, Bad Bunny y J Balvin, Normani, Jonas Brothers, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Miley Cyrus, CNCO, Big Sean y A$ap Ferg, Queen Latifah, H.E.R. y Missy Elliot.
La ganadora de esta gala de premiación fue Taylor Swift, quien obtuvo tres premios, incluido el del vídeo del año, que es mejor premio de la noche.
Ariana Grande también obtuvo tres ‘moon men’ (nombres de las estatuillas), igualando a Taylor Swift.
